Meal planning around the Target weekly ad
Target's weekly ad covers Sunday through Saturday. A good share of the grocery savings come as Target Circle offers, which you add in the Target app or on target.com before you pay. Circle costs nothing to join. Many offers land on Good & Gather, Target's own food brand, so compare those prices with the name brands on the same page. On Sunday morning, pick two proteins from the ad and let them carry the week. If ground turkey and a jar of marinara are both discounted, roll turkey meatballs to serve over spaghetti on Monday and cook the remaining turkey into a white bean chili for Thursday. Produce and dairy can come from whatever else is marked down.
Dinner ideas for the week
This week's Target ad does not carry enough food deals to build dinners from. Here are ideas from the recipe collection in the meantime.
Guides for the week
Frequently asked questions
- When do Target weekly ad deals start?
- Sunday. Each Target ad lasts from Sunday until the following Saturday, which makes the weekend a natural time to plan. The grocery pages sit alongside home and seasonal deals, so skip ahead to the food section if dinner is your goal. Holiday weeks can bring extra promotions with their own dates, which appear on the offer itself.
- Do I need Target Circle for the weekly ad deals?
- For some of them. Many grocery discounts in the ad are Target Circle offers, and they only apply after you add them to your account, either online or through the Target app. Target Circle is free. The paid tier, Target Circle 360, is a separate membership with its own perks, and you do not need it to use the regular Circle offers in the weekly ad.
- What is in the Target weekly ad for the week of Oct 19?
- Flyva reads the current Target ad and keeps the food items. The board at the top of this page shows this week's deals with their prices. In the app, those deals turn into a week of dinners and one shopping list.
